Melanotan II (MT-2) is a cyclic seven-residue analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. The cyclic lactam bridge is the structural difference from the linear Melanotan I, and it is what gives the molecule its greater conformational rigidity and receptor breadth in melanocortin research.

Storage and handling
