GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue acting at the ghrelin receptor. Its sequence uses several non-standard residues — D-alanine, D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine — which is what makes it resistant to the peptidases that would clear an all-L-amino-acid chain of this length quickly.
