Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is the full 44-residue GHRH sequence with a trans-3-hexenoyl group attached at the N-terminus — that acylation is what protects the molecule from rapid DPP-4 cleavage.
